The main capital island of Galapagos is known as San Cristobal Island. People visit this island mainly to see the beautiful endemic birds in the El Junco Lake .The volcanic remains of Kicker Rocks also offer a an unforgettable dramatic sight .The second most important island is the Santa Cruz Island and is home to the Galapagos National Park and the Charles Darwin Research Station. The Isabella Island is famous for the Urbain Bay which is a dark volcanic beach. Genovesa Island offers tourist the rare pleasure of indulging in bird watching from the prince Philip’s steps. Rabida island is famous for its red sand beaches and salt water lagoons ,while the Florence island attract lovers of snorkeling and impresses tourists with its beautiful coral formation.
