Question by BrandonLee24: where should I stay in san francisco?
The 2 hotels I am looking at are the W San Francisco (on 3rd) and The Palace (on New Montgomery Street). This is my first time in SF and I want to be in the best place for fun, tourism, and night life. Thanks for your input
I work for Starwood so i get the rooms cheap, so my only choices are the W or the Palace… any help?

Marriott was very nice
The Palace. It’s beautiful.
the more u need info about the hotel is http://www.expedia .com
The two hotels are within 3 blocks of one another and either would be fine for your stay. Both are located just 3-4 blocks from Union Square which has lots of night life and fun tourist options. The decision is really going to depend more on which style of hotel you want.
W is a new, modern hotel that has a hopping bar scene. It is located kitty corner from Moscone Center, next the Museum of Modern Art and across the street from Yerba Buena Gardens. Down sides; there is a Fire House right next door so it could be a little loud and a “men’s Club” a half block away [or perhaps for you that is an upside? :^)
The Palace is an old world style hotel and contains the Garden Court one of the most beautiful rooms in SF. It is located right on Market Street and thus lots of public transportation right outside your door.
If it were me I’d choose the Palace, because I prefer older hotels with more history and charm,

Depends which suits your style better.
Out of those 2 hotels I would choose the Palace. Its nicer and its older and has a lot of rich history. Both are great for nightlife and have lots and lots of transportation around you.
Other hotels I can reccomend that are higher end are Westin St. Francis, Hyatt Regency =)
Have fun in SF!
